Another Merck release which has outstandingly caught my ear is the Aphilas EP. Such wonderfully attractive that music; i don't know how anyone who enjoys good beats with atmospheres so delightful could resist it. i'm really not sure if i've heard this kind of work done so exceptionally well before, with the consistency to last an ep. the beats are reminiscent of tribe..

their gentle soulful bump and deep felt rhythms, touch of jazz and funk of course; then all the sounds laced in-between is what really carries the listener here.
